Meet Bastienne de Graaff, our on-set teacher / set tutor who is a certified teacher in the Netherlands. While living in Vancouver, BC, Bastienne is also eligible to work in the Netherlands, as well as in Canada. She is also working on obtaining her BC Teaching Certificate.
Bastienne de Graaff
Bastienne de Graaff was born and raised in the Netherlands, where she discovered her passion for teaching at a young age. This led her to complete her primary education degree (Pabo) in Utrecht in 2022, along with a qualification in physical education and a TEFL certificate. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she moved to Vancouver to work as the Head Teacher at a Dutch Language and Cultural School, where she taught from 2022 – 2026. She has experience supporting students from diverse language backgrounds and believes strongly in collaborative, student-centred learning. She is currently in the process of obtaining her British Columbia teaching licence.
She left her role at the Dutch Language and Cultural School to work in the film industry, working as a Production Assistant to start.
Outside of the classroom and film, she enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors, with interests including hiking, running, and camping.
